Why BlitzPulse Does Not Show Footprint Charts
BlitzPulse Order Flow Insights is built from the data sources available in the product today. That means it can provide useful context from L1 market data, but it should not be presented as a full professional tape-reading workstation.
The Honest Boundary
BlitzPulse can analyze:
- last trade price and size
- best bid and best ask snapshots
- price-by-volume distributions
- approximate trade direction
- unusually large prints
- confluence with technical structure
BlitzPulse does not currently provide a true footprint chart. That kind of view requires more granular trade and liquidity data than the v1 product is designed to expose.
Why This Matters
Marketing advanced microstructure visuals without the right data would create false confidence. The safer product choice is to show what can be supported, label approximations clearly, and avoid implying precision the system does not have.
What Users Should Expect Instead
Order Flow Insights focuses on clear, bounded signals:
- where volume concentrated by price
- whether approximate CVD confirms or diverges from price
- whether a print is unusually large for the symbol
- whether those clues align with broader structure and risk
Each output should be treated as decision support, not investment advice or an instruction to trade.
Future Path
If BlitzPulse later supports richer licensed market data, the product can add more advanced visualizations with the correct labeling, controls, and user education. Until then, the v1 language stays conservative on purpose.
