Account

How do I sign up?

Visit /register, enter email + password (or use Google/Apple SSO), verify via email link. Full guide: Account Setup.

How do I reset my password?

From the login page, click Forgot password?. We email a reset link valid for 60 minutes.

How do I change my email?

Settings → Profile → Email. We email a confirmation link to the new address; the change applies once you click it.

Can I have multiple users on one account?

Not at the Pro tier; one account = one user. Enterprise tier supports multiple users on one account with role-based access.

How do I enable MFA?

Settings → Security → MFA. Choose TOTP (Google Authenticator etc.), WebAuthn passkey (Touch ID / Face ID), or SMS. WebAuthn is strongly recommended.

I lost my MFA device — how do I recover?

From the login page, click Reset MFA. We email a one-time recovery link valid 24 hours.

Where do I see my login history?

Settings → Security → Login history — last 50 events with IP and device.

How do I sign out from all devices?

Settings → Security → Sessions → Sign out all.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14-day free trial of Pro on first sign-up, card required.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Data → Account deletion. We confirm via email + a 14-day grace window. After 14 days, all PII is purged.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Settings → Data → Export. CSV scopes: positions, trades, alerts, signals.

What’s stored about me?

Email, hashed password, encrypted broker tokens, portfolio + trade history, signal preferences, plan/billing state, MFA secrets, audit logs. Detail: privacy policy.

Will I get marketing emails?

Only if you opt in during sign-up. Transactional emails (verification, billing receipts, alert digests) are required regardless.

Can I use BlitzPulse internationally?

Service is open globally for read-only. Live broker integration is US-only (Schwab is US-only). Multi-broker rollout will expand internationally.

Is there a referral program?

Coming post-launch via PR-LAUNCH-7 (promos + referrals + credits).


Billing

What plans are offered?

Free, Pro ($29/mo or $290/yr), Pro+ ($49/mo, deferred ~6mo), Enterprise (custom). Detail: Billing user guide.

Do you offer a refund?

14-day no-questions full refund on first-time Pro subscriptions. After that, monthly fees are non-refundable except for sustained outages (>48 continuous hours). Annual plans get a full refund within 14 days.

What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit cards via Stripe. ACH and wire on Enterprise tier.

Will my plan auto-renew?

Yes by default. Disable under Settings → Billing. Reminder email sent 7 days before each renewal.

How do I update my card?

Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe Customer Portal.

Can I switch from monthly to annual?

Yes. Manage subscription → Update plan → Pro Annual. Pro-rated immediately.

Can I downgrade from Pro to Free?

Yes. Cancellation takes effect at end of period; you keep Pro until the next renewal date.

What happens if my card fails?

Stripe retries 4 times over 21 days. We email each failure. After final failure, you downgrade to Free; broker connections stay active.

Can I get a discount for annual?

Yes — annual = ~17% off (10 months for the price of 12).

Are there enterprise volume discounts?

Yes. Email sales@blitzpulse.com.

Do you charge for API usage?

Not at launch. Pro+ tier (deferred ~6mo) will include API access.

Is there a student or non-profit discount?

Not at launch. Email support to request.

Where do I see my invoices?

Billing → Invoices or via the Stripe Customer Portal.

Are taxes included?

No. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing address.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Read-only access continues at the Free tier; broker connections stay active. Account deletion is a separate flow.


Trading features

What is the TA Comprehensive Layer?

Three coordinated layers: Market Structure, Price Action, Smart Money / ICT. Detail: Smart Money guide.

Does BlitzPulse give trade ideas?

We surface signals, structure, and zones. We do not place trades or recommend specific tickers. You decide whether to act.

What is a “complexity dial”?

A 1-5 user preference controlling chart overlay density. Default L2. Detail: FAQ on Complexity.

What is “confluence score”?

A combined [0, 1] score across the three TA layers. Higher = more layers agree on direction. The historical hit rate per symbol is shown inline.

What is “experimental” on a pattern?

The pattern’s out-of-sample backtest hit rate is below 55% on your specific symbol. The detection still fires; the UI warns you.

What does “BOS / CHoCH / MSS” mean?

Break of Structure, Change of Character, Market Structure Shift — detail in the BOS/CHoCH concept card.

What is an Order Block?

Last opposite-direction candle before a strong impulse move. See the ICT glossary.

What is a Fair Value Gap?

3-candle imbalance pattern. See the FVG concept card.

What is the “verdict engine”?

Per-symbol aggregate signal (STRONG BUY / BUY / HOLD / SELL / STRONG SELL) derived from confluence + direction. Shown on /trading-intel/analysis.

How fresh is signal data?

For Schwab streaming: sub-second. For non-streaming providers: refresh cadence shown next to each panel via <SourceBadge>. Most signals recompute at 5-minute incremental tick (skipping HH:05 to avoid the hourly volume profile scan).

What’s the launch symbol universe?

Top 100 most-traded US equities + S&P 500 = ~500 unique symbols.

Why isn’t my favorite ticker covered?

Outside the launch universe. We add demand-driven monthly. Use Help → Request a symbol.

Can I create custom alerts?

Yes. 8 types: price, confluence, structure, pattern, zone, earnings, news, reconciliation. Detail: Alerts guide.

What channels do alerts use?

Email digest (default), in-app, push, SMS (security only).

How do I avoid alert overload?

Daily digest by default + per-symbol cap (5/day) + confluence floor (0.7). All configurable in Settings → Notifications.

Can I dismiss recommendations?

Yes. Dismiss hides the row for 24 hours. Watch pins it for monitoring.

Are there pre/post-market signals?

Not at launch (RTH only). Pre/post-market is on the Phase 2 roadmap.

What timeframes are supported?

15m, 1h, 4h, 1d, 1w. 1m and 5m are deferred to post-launch.

Can I backtest my own strategies?

/trading-intel/strategy-lab is a Phase 3 surface; not at launch.

Do you support options?

Yes. /trading-intel/options shows the chain + greeks + payoff diagram. Pro tier.

Do you support crypto?

No. Different regulatory regime; not in our lane.

Can I trade from BlitzPulse?

Yes — via your connected broker. Order placement is supported on Schwab today.

What is the “watching” feature?

A way to pin recommendations or symbols for monitoring without acting.

How do recommendations get ranked?

hit_rate × log(1 + sample_size) — avoids the “80% on n=5” trap.

Can I see how confluence is computed?

Yes. Click any row on the confluence ladder to expand the layer breakdown.


Brokers

Which brokers does BlitzPulse support?

Today: Schwab. On the roadmap: Alpaca, Tradier, IBKR. TD Ameritrade legacy and Fidelity are not planned.

Can I have multiple broker accounts?

Yes. Multi-account scoping shipped via PR #232 + #234.

How do I connect Schwab?

Settings → Connected accounts → Connect Schwab. Detail: Connect Broker.

What does Schwab read?

Accounts, positions, balances, orders, transactions, real-time streaming, order placement (only when you click).

Can I revoke Schwab access?

Yes — both from BlitzPulse (Settings → Disconnect) and from Schwab’s developer portal.

How long does the Schwab token last?

Refresh token: 90 days. Access token: 30 minutes (auto-refreshed). Reminder email at expiry.

What if my refresh token expires?

Streamer stops; banner appears. Click “Reconnect” — takes ~5 seconds.

Why is Alpaca not yet supported?

On the Phase 1 roadmap (#236 series). Adapter code exists; production flip pending UAT.

Can I auto-trade?

No. Order placement requires explicit user click. We never auto-execute.

Why doesn’t BlitzPulse support Robinhood?

Robinhood’s API is not generally available; we’d need a partnership. Not in our 2026 plans.


Data quality

Where does market data come from?

Primary: Schwab. Fallback: yfinance, Finnhub, Polygon, MarketAux, Tradier, ThetaData, Alpaca. Source per-panel via <SourceBadge>.

Why does my P&L look wrong?

Open Portfolio → Reconciliation → Manual run. If drift persists

1 hour, contact support.

Why are some prices delayed?

Non-Schwab providers may serve EOD or 15-min-delayed data. The <SourceBadge> tells you the source.

How accurate is the news sentiment?

We use MarketAux + Finnhub sentiment scores. Accuracy is provider-driven; we surface their score, we don’t recompute.

Why is my dividend missing?

Dividend ingestion lags broker reporting by 1-3 days. If still missing after 5 days, run reconciliation.

Why is the equity curve flat today?

Broker hasn’t streamed today’s closing price yet (try after 4:15 PM ET) or the streamer disconnected (refresh page).

Are corporate actions handled?

Splits and dividends apply automatically. Mergers and special distributions may need manual reconciliation.

Why is realized P&L different from Schwab’s?

Source policy is 'all' until the FIFO matcher ships post-launch. May differ slightly from Schwab’s per-lot accounting.

How fresh is the earnings calendar?

Refreshed nightly from Finnhub + sectors source.

Why don’t I see my OTC ticker?

OTC and pink-sheet tickers are excluded from the launch universe.


Mobile

Is there a native app?

Not at launch. Responsive-web works on phone + tablet. Native iOS / Android is on the Phase 2 roadmap.

Why is the chart less detailed on mobile?

Complexity is auto-capped at L2 on phone (375px) so charts stay readable. Override under Settings → Preferences → Mobile complexity override.

How do I add BlitzPulse to my home screen?

iOS Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen. Android Chrome: ⋮ → Install app.

Why doesn’t iOS get push notifications?

iOS Safari requires the PWA install (Add to Home Screen). Plain Safari tabs don’t receive push — Apple platform restriction.

How do I sign in with Face ID / Touch ID?

After enrolling WebAuthn under Settings → Security → MFA, the login page offers passkey sign-in.

Is mobile feature parity 100%?

Roughly 80%. Detail: differences from web.

Can I trade from mobile?

Yes — same order surfaces as desktop, single-pane.

Are alerts the same on mobile?

Yes. Same subscriptions, same delivery rules. Push is web-push today, native push lands with the app.

Will my data sync between phone and desktop?

Yes. Same backend, same data, instant sync.

What does the native app add?

Native push, biometric session lock, home-screen widgets, background refresh. Detail: mobile overview.


Security & privacy

Is my data encrypted?

Yes — at rest (AES) and in transit (TLS via Cloudflare).

Where are credentials stored?

Hashed passwords in our DB (bcrypt). Broker refresh tokens encrypted with TOKEN_ENCRYPTION_KEY.

Do you sell user data?

No. We never sell or rent user data.

Are passkeys supported?

Yes. WebAuthn passkeys via FIDO2. Strongly recommended.

What happens if there’s a breach?

Per our security policy, we notify affected users within 72 hours and rotate compromised tokens immediately.

Do you support SAML / SSO for enterprise?

Yes on Enterprise tier. Email sales@blitzpulse.com.

How is multi-factor enforced?

Optional for users; enforced for admin accounts.

What about GDPR / CCPA?

We comply with both. Account deletion + data export per request.

Is BlitzPulse SOC 2 / ISO 27001?

Not yet — these are post-Series-A targets.

Where do I report a security issue?

security@blitzpulse.com. We’ll respond within 24h.


Troubleshooting

Dashboard stuck loading

Usually a Schwab token issue. Disconnect + reconnect under Settings → Connected accounts.

Chart blank

Wait 10s for streamer reconnect. Refresh if persistent.

Alert not arriving

Check spam, whitelist noreply@blitzglobalcapital.com. For push, re-register the device under Settings → Devices.

Plan still says “Free” after upgrade

Stripe webhook delay (rare, <5s). Refresh; if persistent, contact support.
