Dashboards may show incorrect P&L, positions, Greeks, prices, cost basis, tax lots, or account values.
Confirm all orders, positions, balances, prices, tax lots, margin requirements, and account status directly with your broker, custodian, clearing firm, exchange, or official tax record before acting.
6. AI, ML, and Automated Analysis
AI and machine-learning systems can hallucinate, overfit, omit important facts, misread news or filings, produce biased results, or present inaccurate statements confidently. Automated outputs are tools, not authorities. Treat them as one input in your process and independently verify them.
