Smart Money — TA Comprehensive Layer
Three coordinated layers of technical analysis with empirical calibration per symbol. The differentiator vs every other retail charting tool.
What it does
Detects market structure, candle patterns, and ICT/SMC zones — each pattern empirically backtested per symbol with hit-rate floors. Combines them into a confluence score.
Layer 1: Market Structure (always-on)
- HH/HL/LH/LL pivot classification
- Break of Structure (BOS), Change of Character (CHoCH), Market Structure Shift (MSS)
- Trend regime per timeframe
- Multi-timeframe alignment scoring
Layer 2: Price Action
- 18 candle patterns (single + multi-bar)
- 5 Wyckoff events (spring, upthrust, test, sign of strength, sign of weakness)
- Reversal patterns (double tops, H&S, wedges)
- Volume anomalies (absorption, climax, divergence)
Layer 3: ICT / Smart Money
- Order Blocks (bull / bear)
- Fair Value Gaps + inverse FVG
- Liquidity Sweeps (EQH / EQL)
- Premium / Discount arrays
- Breaker blocks
Cross-layer confluence
When 2 or 3 layers agree on direction, the confluence score is computed and the historical hit rate is shown — for your symbol, not blanket marketing claims.

Key controls
Complexity dial (L1–L5)
Top-right of any chart. Controls overlay density:
- L1: Market Structure only
- L2: + key candle patterns (default)
- L3: + Smart Money zones
- L4: + cross-layer confluence
- L5: + Wyckoff + advanced reversals
Mobile auto-locks to L2 — denser views are unreadable on a phone.
Confluence floor
In Settings → Notifications, set the minimum confluence score that triggers an alert. Default 0.7. Lowering it produces louder alerts; raising filters to only highest-conviction setups.
Top-3 / show-all-7 toggle
On the confluence ladder, each row defaults to showing top-3 layer combinations. Click Show all 7 combos to expand.
Common workflows
”What setups are best for AAPL right now?”
/trading-intel/intraday/smart-money?symbol=AAPL.- Look at confluence score and direction.
- Click the row to expand the combo backtest.
- If 2-of-3 hit rate ≥65% on adequate sample: high-conviction.
- If only single-layer fired: reduce position size or pass.
”Is this a real reversal or noise?”
/trading-intel/structure?symbol=X— check MTF alignment.- If higher TFs disagree with the recent reversal, the move is likely a retracement, not a regime flip.
- Look for confluence: structure flip + reversal pattern + sweep.
”Why is this pattern marked experimental?”
The pattern’s out-of-sample backtest hit rate is below 55% for your specific symbol. The detector still fires; the UI just warns you. Treat experimental detections as one data point, not as evidence.
Tips & best practices
- Start with L2. Bump to L3 once you understand structure events.
- Trust empirics over folklore: if the hit rate is low, the pattern isn’t working on your symbol — even if it’s textbook.
- The 3-of-3 combos (all three layers agreeing) are rare; when they fire on a symbol with sample size ≥30, they’re the highest-quality setups in the system.

Important disclaimers
- Nothing here is investment advice. See risk disclosure.
- Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results — even with a 73% historical hit rate, the next setup can fail.
- We surface signals; you decide whether to trade.
